Voices of Hope Scholarships

The Voices of Hope’s Scholarship is a $1,000 award for a current student in recovery from substance use disorder (meaning they are seeking positive change to improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and to reach their full potential) who is currently enrolled at a trade school, college or university in Kentucky.

Applicants will be required to answer the following questions:

  1. What does recovery mean to you?

  2. What do you do to sustain your recovery?

  3. What are your long-term career goals?

Eligibility

All the following criteria is required to be eligible to apply:
  1. Have been in recovery for one or more years
  2. Have completed at least one semester as a full-time student enrolled in a trade school, college or university in Kentucky (eligible institutions will have a regularly scheduled curriculum, a regular faculty, and an enrolled body of students in attendance)
  3. Be in good academic standing (minimum of 2.5 GPA)
  4. Have a realistic plan to cover remaining education expenses
  5. Be available to accept award at Voices of Hope’s Recovery Awareness Day Event on September 5, 2026 at Gatton Park and be featured in promotional materials related to the scholarship
  6. A US citizen or resident alien
  7. Current Voices of Hope employees are not eligible for this scholarship
