Recovery Coach Foundation
Two-day training

Overview
Recovery Coach Foundation covers a variety of topics that aim to provide foundational knowledge of recovery, the role of the peer, and tangible tools to help improve quality of recovery support services. Topics include: Definition of Recovery and Multiple Pathways, Language Matters: How to Share Your Recovery Story, Understanding the Recovery Coach Role, Assessing Bias, Active Listening with Open-ended Questions, Question Persuade Refer Suicide Prevention, Self-care and Workplace Boundaries, and Trauma-informed Approaches for Peer Support Specialists.
Motivational Interviewing and MOUD Flyer Training (MI/MOUD)
Two-day training

Overview
MI/MOUD empowers peers to have conversations about three FDA-approved medications (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone) for opioid use disorder (OUD). The first half of this training discusses motivational interviewing philosophy and includes exercises to grow conversational skills that promote goal exploration and comfortability with ambivalence. The second half of the training focuses on medication specifics for OUD. The two aspects of the training are then zipped together to allow peers to practice their motivational interviewing techniques within conversations about medications for OUD.
Understanding the Harm Reduction Recovery Pathway
One-day training
Suggested time: 9:30am-3:30pm

Overview
Harm reduction practices have been employed long before the term was coined, and this presentation provides a brief history of strategies that are intended to promote safety and reduce harm. Little hr strategies and Big HR principles are discussed, and specific harm reduction options are described for alcohol, stimulant, and opioid use.
Responding to Addiction
Responding to Addiction is a 3 hour, comprehensive training designed to increase knowledge about addiction and develop skills and strategies to help your community. Like CPR, the training program is designed to build the skills to support and respond to someone who needs help. Participants will learn the science of addiction, signs and symptoms of addiction, evidence-based treatment options, and how to respond to someone in crisis. To learn more select the buttons below.
